Le Beau Fief is a stone cottage born out of the remnants of a 14th century chateau. Accommodating up to 4 people comfortably, it sits in a pretty courtyard with a private heated swimming pool, and enjoys its very own fruit orchard.

The property is a true country retreat in a very tranquil setting - we are tucked away amidst vast seas of sunflowers and a peppering of vineyards in the heart of the Charentaise countryside.

Stone cottage to rent

The gite is a traditional two-bedroom stone cottage which sleeps up to 4 people comfortably plus a baby if needed. Steeped in history, It really is a charming little haven, and has been recently decorated and furnished whilst still retaining that cosy rustic-chic feel that we love.

A true home from home.

Downstairs consists of a small entrance hall, toilet and open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and lounge.

The kitchen is decorated in traditional French country style with washing machine, electric oven, gas hob, extractor fan, kettle, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, iron and ironing board.

It is fully equipped with plenty of pots, pans and appliances. We are sure it will please the keenest of chefs. The dining table seats four.

The lounge area has two comfortable sofas, TV, DVD player with a selection of films, & radio.

Upstairs has a large attractive landing with vaulted ceiling. Here, you will find books and a chest full of games. There are two pretty bedrooms: 1 double, and 1 twin, 1 shower room with shower, basin and WC.

towels and linen

All towels and linen are included with a free weekly change, together with a starter pack of cleaning materials.

We also supply 1 pool towel,
(per guest) free of charge.

We have strived to include everything you could possibly need to make your holiday complete. So, you will find all the basics plus many extras, such as a picnic hamper, cooler bags for your shopping, binoculars for spotting the local wildlife, mountain bikes for you to enjoy at your leisure, booster steps for the little ones, games for the family and a good selection of DVDs.

"The moment I booked I knew we were going to have a great time. Richard and Tori were extremely helpful. When we arrived everything was just perfect. As a family of 5 we had lots of different outside areas where we could relax, play games or read. The boys had lots of fun in the pool. With the added bonus it’s the same depth throughout so my 6 year old who isn’t a confident swimmer was confident."
